Warm Weather Lippies - All from the Drugstore!
The warmer months are upon us - well they might be for some of you. Here in Brooklyn, I wore my winter coat last week. That doesn't stop me from fantasizing about the warmer months and all the colorful lip options that come along!
My favorite nude lip color is Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in the shade Creme Brulee.
This brownie/peachy nude offers a subdued lip option for those crazy eyeshadow moments without leaving your lips with zero color. I really love all of the Revlon Colorburst Lip colors because they provide a lot of hydration and are super comfortable to wear!
If you are a baby pink lip lover like myself, try L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Balm in Pink Satin.
This lippie is super moisturizing, gives a great subtle pink to the lips and provides a beautiful shine! This is my most used shade on a day to day basis for that more natural look with a subtle splash of color.
Are you loving Brown lips? If so, Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Coy is a gorgeous option!
Brown lips were huge in the colder seasons and I believe they will transition into the hotter months without skipping a beat! This is a nice, intense brown, but the red undertones to this product make it a warmer and definitely more wearable option than some of the cooler and neutral toned brown lip products out there.
What Are the Warmer Months without a Great Coral Color!? The Flower Beauty Velvet Lip Chubby in the color Coral Floral is matte fabulousness in a tube!
I can see it now; pair this lip with no eyeshadow, insane lashes, bronzer and highlighter on your cheekbones - you will be floating around looking like the sun kissed Goddess you are!
I love a good red lip and my fav for Red Lips is An Absolute Beauty! Covergirl Lip Lava in live, love, lava. This red gloss is so spectacular!
It is glossy and a true red! Plus, BONUS: it has microfine blue glitter in it! Not only does this add an awesome visual effect, but did you know that having lip colors with blue undertones can make your teeth appear whiter?! Don't worry, even though there is glitter, the gloss does not feel gritty at all. Since gritty glosses are a pet peeve of mine, I would totally not recommend it if there was any gritty feeling associated!
Looking for a Pretty Fuschia Color? The L'Oreal Paris Le Matte in Matte-r of Fact is perfect for you!
Now normally, I am not a huge fan of matte lips. Mainly because my lips get dry super quickly, BUT these Le Matte lippies are super comfortable to wear and because it is matte, it has great staying power! If you are still not a fan of the matte look - just pop a gloss on over top and you are all good to go!
Lastly, I just love a good pop of color and Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the color Shameless certainly does not disappoint!
This beautiful purple shade is shocking! If you are looking to make a statement than this is your color! Even though purple lips have gained popularity, I still feel like they're unexpected, so if you want to get some attention, look no further. This is a matte color as well, so again, you can add a gloss over top if matte lips aren't your cup of tea.
On the flip side, I do know that matte lips are a huge trend right now. So, if you wanted to make any of these glossier products matte, simply apply the product of your choice, blot with some toilet paper and loosely pat (don't swipe) some translucent powder over top with a sponge. Your color will remain, but you will have a matte lip instead!
Thanks for taking the time to visit the blog today and until next time-
