KathleenLights x Morphe Palette and Cut Crease Look

KathleenLights x Morphe

Today I wanted to show a cut crease look I did with the KathleenLights x Morphe Palette. This palette is so beautiful! It has a ton of warm shades which I really love because I use those the most, day to day. The only thing I would change about the palette is the matte black shade. It is not a super intense black, which is what I was hoping for. However,it's a buildable black so you can still achieve a rich black look, it just might take a bit more effort and layering. I am really happy with this purchase and for the price ($14.99), I felt like it was a deal I couldn't pass up!

When I opened the palette, the first color that stood out (for obvious reasons) was the teal shade. I just knew I had to create a look using it! This shade has a bit of glitter in it, so fallout is imminent. I recommend not doing your face makeup until after doing your eye look so that you don't mess up your foundation/concealer with bright eyeshadow.

I started by adding the light brown shade to my crease and just above, as the transition shade, using a fluffy blending brush.

I then added the dark brown color in the in the crease only with a pencil brush and blending out with the same fluffy brush from step one, with no additional product.

I used my finger to apply the Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade 'Tenacious Teal' to the area that I expected to add the teal color, I winged this out at the corner.

Then, still using my finger, I packed the teal color on my lid in patting motions. Patting, instead of  swiping, will allow for less fallout and more color saturation.

I applied the dark brown shade to the lower lash line and blended it out with the transition shade form step one. I also redefined the line between the green and the transition shade on the upper eyelid with the black shade in the palette.

Then I added winged liner (I made sure to extend the liner a bit further on the inner corner just to accentuate the cat eye look I was going for),mascara and the highlight shade to the inner corner and brow bone.

And here is the completed look!  The KathleenLights X Morphe Palette is back in stock today. It's limited edition so you should grab it ASAP!  Here is the link to the Morphe website https://www.morphebrushes.com
